Dont be fooled by low millage!

A word of warning to anyone looking at buying a second hand vehicle, especially an import. When inspecting a vehicle look very closely to wear indicators for true age and millage on a vehicle. Things such as steering wheel condition, seat condition as well as sagging doors can often be indicators of a high millage vehicle. Get a torch out and look closely at the speedo and odometer, and look for any signs of tampering. This cluster just came through our door with the odometer not working, and after a quick inspection its obvious why. Although it’s often very hard to tell if a vehicle has been wound back as something as simple as replacing the cluster with a newer one leaves no traces. If in doubt just walk away, and to be honest how many 10-15 year old cars have 60000 kms on them.
